Softlights has specially developed its own tubes in the USA, to give a full color range with a perfect balance of red, green and blue. Softlights is the first to make a T5 tube for the professional Film and TV-industry. T5 is the industrial standard of the future.

T5 is less than half the size of the T12, but produces the same amount of light. This means less "black area" (light-output that is covered by the lamp itself). The tubes come in either 3200ºKelvin or 5600ºKelvin.
They have a life of apx.10,000 hours burning time.





Strong & Compact

The special profile made of aluminum gives the T5-series a strong and lightweight construction. All the electronics are integrated inside the fixture. As a user, you can forget the extra box with electronics, cables and possibilities for pipe burst etc.





DMX

DMX is the future way to control Film and TV-equipment. The T5-series can be controlled two ways. For quick location work, the T5-series can be digitally dimmed directly on the lamp, no extra are boxes needed.
Local or remote, the T5-series can be easily controlled as a part of a system, as in a studio setup.

All you need is a thin control-cable from the PC/control-table to the first light-unit. The cable then continues from light to light. With the push of a button you give to each T5-series it's own digital identity or "unit-number". The T5-series maintains it's "unit-number" regardless of where you place or move it in the chain of lights. This eliminates the classic cable-chaos of the "old" dimmer-racks.

You don't need that big analogue dimmer-rack that controlled the light by increasing or decreasing power (from 0 to 220/110 volts). The T5-series dimmer system is running completely silent. T5-series is the only high-frequency tube light on the market with a pure digital DMX dimming.
